The first four months of this year have been a very interesting time for me. In one way, it has been sad as I have four people I know pass away, my cat died and now we are dealing with some serious things in my father-in-law. It is those times that make you really appreciate the people in your life.
Even though there has been sadness there has also been happiness and joy as my life, business and relationships are growing and thriving. Everyday, I am learning new things and becoming more than I was the day before. It is an exciting place to be.
I am also excited that spring is finally starting to show it self here where I live. Beauty is springing up all around me and it refreshes my spirit and I love the warm weather and not feeling cold all the time!
It is also a great time of year to grow your business. Spring is a time of newness and hope and people are wanting to do something new. You need to take advantage of that and start prospecting for customers and recruits.
Here are a few great places to start:
Join some local buy & sell groups and post regularly about your business. If you are looking for customers post about products for sale, any parties you are having or offer people your brochure either physically or electronically.
If you are recruiting, then you need to consistently post about joining your company. If you do it on a regular basis you will get recruits as so many people as seeing your ads and there will be some who are interested. Out and About
Over the course of the week, doing your normal activities you will come across a lot of people, like the person who hands you your coffee in the drive-thru, the bored person standing in line at the grocery store, I could fill a whole blog post with list of people you run into on a regular basis.
Talk to them!!! What is the worst that can happen? They say that they are not interested. That’s it. But if they are, they may just be your next superstar recruit, who really moves your business forward. Don’t know what to say? Sometimes people want to join your company, but when you initially talk to them, they weren’t able to take advantage of it at the time. Give them a call, text them, email them or reconnect on Facebook. Now may be the perfect time for them and they will say yes easily. Here is the main reason why you want to take advantage of building your business now. The Christmas selling season is only 6 months away. Now you are probably thinking to yourself, “What has that got to do with the tea in china?” As my Dad use to say.
EVERYTHING. You are building your business NOW to take advantage of the huge results then. Not only will you be making extra money now as you build your customers and recruits, but think of how much more you will get once the Christmas season starts. Instead of taking the spring and summer of and then scrambling and wearing yourself to the bone trying to get results in the fall, why don’t you put in little effort now and watch the results come pouring in then.
The choice is yours. For me I am building now, so I can enjoy later. I am willing to pay the cost to see the success that I want in my life and I am seeing results. When you plant seeds, you will have a harvest. I choose to plant the seeds of consistent work and reap the financial harvest later. Also, I plant lots of seed, so that there will be a harvest.
