I wish I could tell you that achieving success in MLM requires no effort, no work and that money just falls into your lap.
But I can’t…
You have invested in a business and like any other business you have actions that you need to take if you are going to produce sales and recruits.
And if you want big results there is going to have to be a lot of continuous action. There is no other way to do it.
I have people email me and ask me to help them and when I look at there situation I realize that there is little to no regular action being taken in their business.
If you are going to succeed you must create good MLM habits that over a period of time create results and then you results are multiplied when you hit momentum and then things really take off, but first you must pay the price of consistent action.
Sounds exciting doesn’t it?
Well yes and no…
When you start to see some really great results then yes it is exciting, but when you are sitting at home looking at the phone knowing that you need to make that phone call to the customer/recruit lead you just got and you would rather be doing anything else but like watching TV or playing games on Facebook, well it is not so exciting then.
That is why creating habits in your business are important. Once you got into the habit of doing something it makes it easy to continue doing it and seeing results.
So how do you create good MLM habits?
Let’s take a look at follow up calls for sales and recruits since that is an important action to take and one that most people want to avoid.
First of all when creating a habit you need to take small steps first. Set a small daily block of time 10 -15 minutes to start where you are going to do your phone calls. I find evenings is one the best times to make these calls.
So during the day get everything together that you are going to need to make the phone calls including your customer/lead list, a pen, you calendar.
If you would like a great customer tracking sheet that you can use to keep track of sales calls and products purchased then go to the bottom of this post and you can download it there.
Then before you sit down to make the calls get rid of all distractions including the TV, Facebook and your cell phone. Turn them OFF so that you can focus on the task at hand.
Set a timer for 10 – 15 minutes NO LONGER. The point is to do it long enough to start seeing results, but not too long that you get bored or tired or you choose not to do it because it is going to take too long.
Sit down, look at the first name on your list pick up the phone and dial it.
Yes, I am being silly here, but so many people will sit do and not do it. The best thing you can do is quickly get that first phone call done, it makes it easier to make the second and the third call.
Make phone calls until the timer goes off then you are done and can go do something that you want.
When you have done this 5 days in a row give yourself a reward.
Now just imagine when you add a daily prospecting habit to this. You will have a thriving business in no time flat.
So make the decision today that you are going to create good MLM habits.

It makes me sad to see so many people fail in MLM. They join in hopes of having a better life then fail, mostly because of the reason I am going to give you below. Can I be honest with you? I WAS one of those people who failed several times before achieving success, and I could check mark just about every reason below for it.
1) Lack of Training/No Self Growth.
If you are unteachable or aren’t willing to invest in your self growth you will fail. The other end of the pendulum is desperately wanting training but not having any available. In that case you need to go outside of your company to do it.
2) No Goals Set. As the famous saying goes, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.”
3) Trying Any & Every Program and never committing to any of them. It takes times to build a business, and you just can’t quit and try something new because it didn’t work the first few times your tried it. Get someone to help you who knows what they are doing. Have them watch you and give you suggestions.
4) Procrastination. Need I say anymore? Get off the couch and take action. Record your favourite show and watch it when you are successful and can afford to take the time.
5) Non-Consistent Action. Only doing your business when it is convenient or doing it every now and then will not bring you success. You must have actions planned every business to make your home based business grow.
6) Fear. The only thing I can say about this one is that you have a choice. Your fear or success. You can’t have both. You might feel like your heart is going to pound right out of your chest the first time you go to talk to a stranger about your opportunity, (mine did), but when you get your 1st, then your 10th, then your 50th recruit, you will be so glad that you did.
7) Lack of Leadership. This is the one I can relate to the most. I spent years looking for someone to lead/mentor me. I am so thankful that I did 5 years ago, it made all the difference. If your leader isn’t helping you then find someone who will, and learn from them. If you don’t have someone who is willing to help you. Would you consider me? I can’t do everything that a leader does for you, but I would sure love to answer any questions if I can and to congratulate and applaud you on a job well done.

If you find yourself in any of these situations, have HOPE. You can change them starting today and put yourself on the road to a better place.
Why don’t you come on over to my Facebook page and share a success with me.

I so-oo-oo believe in you and your dreams,

You are all excited about the prospect of joining a MLM company and having your own home based business. This is your time to shine and create the future you want for yourself and your family. With very little thought or consideration you join the first company that catches your fancy with their amazing website or by someone who says all the right things.
Less than one moth later you have realized that you have made a huge mistake that has not only cost you money and time, but has destroyed your hope that you can have a better future. Or maybe…
It hasn’t destroyed your hope completely but it has set you on a path of hope and despair as you go from company to company trying to find the right one and ultimately you quit because you just can’t keep doing it anymore.
You keep on wondering if maybe you are just not cut out to be an entrepreneur and yet something keeps burning in your heart that there must be more.
Have you ever considered that you were made to be an entrepreneur and for success, but maybe your focus is in the wrong place?
Maybe choosing a company in MLM isn’t about a flashy website and having the newest and the greatest shiny object that is the next biggest fad that everyone can sell but you. Maybe choosing the right company has nothing to do with the right products or compensation plan, maybe it has to do with being under the right leader who can mentor you to success.
I spent 12 years going from company to company and each time it was the same. I would join and the person who recruited me would promise me all they help and support I needed and the first time I asked them to teach me how to recruit, all I got was, “Talk to people,” as if that is some magic formula that makes 100’s of people join your team.
I attended all the company trainings hoping I would get the training I was looking for (and I usually had to travel at my expense to do it, even though I wasn’t making any money,) and at most I got a motivational speech and testimonials from people who had done it, but nothing practical to help me.
Because I wasn’t a natural born recruiter and I needed a lot of help, most leaders soon grew tired of me and ignored me completely, leaving me on my own to figure it out. It always left me feeling unworthy, discouraged and hopeless.
BUT…
There was this entrepreneurial spirit in me that couldn’t be quenched and I knew that if I could find someone to mentor me and teach me the skills I needed I would succeed and that is what happened 8 years ago. I was blessed to join a company where I was mentored and taught everything I needed to become successful and now it is my turn to give back.
Having a good leader is one of the main things you need to know to make the right decision about which company to work for, but did you know that there are also 9 other important contributing factors?
That’s why I am doing a very special webinar where I will show you the 10 Things You Absolutely Must Know Before Joining A MLM Company. If someone is saved from 12 years of hurt and struggle because of this training, then that will mean a lot to me, like I have accomplished something.

I was reading a great blog post and it quoted Jim Rohn and he had said, “Succeeding is easier than making excuses.” And it really got me thinking about how much excuses have cost me in my life.
You see, the more excuses I made the more it damaged my self confidence and the more my self confidence was damaged the more I was unmotivated to do anything and then the more that happened the more afraid I became to even try something which lead to more excuses.
It was a vicious circle which left me defeated and on a road where none of my dreams came true.
When I choose to stop making excuses as to why I couldn’t do something and started to look for solutions, guess what happened. I found them and when I took action it opened up more doors and things became easier and then when it was time to move to the next level instead of making excuses because it became more difficult, I looked for solutions which allowed me to grow even more.
As this happened my self confidence grew and I was able to achieve more and more success, and even though I haven’t reached every goal yet, I am so much further down the road then I ever thought that I could get to.
So today you have a choice. Success or excuses?
Now before you think that this was all easy. It wasn’t. There were times that it was frustrating looking for solutions because it took longer than I though. There were times that I had to give up things to grow into the person I needed to be for the level I was at.
But…
It was worth it. Success is always worth the cost that you pay for it. The freedom that you attain and the ability to have control over your life makes the things that you give up seem petty once you get there.
Is it worth it? Most definitely?
So make the choice today.

Kim Thompson-Pinder
